CERN ended cooperation with Russian/Belarusian institutions Nov 2024

November 2024: CERN terminated cooperation with Russian and Belarusian institutions under EU and Swiss sanctions following the 2022 invasion of Ukraine. ~500 scientists affiliated with Russian institutions expelled from LHC experiments. Smaller Belarusian-affiliated cohort whose contracts ended earlier in 2024.
